“[Clark’s] work on this recording goes far beyond mere technical execution, establishing him as one of today’s leading experts on Price’s music after personally editing many of these scores for their first publication. Clark approaches the repertoire with clear articulation and expressive intelligence that avoids easy sentimentalism, allowing the architecture of the pieces to shine on its own while giving each lyrical passage an almost vocal warmth. His pedagogical approach and respect for the original source make this album not only an object of aesthetic enjoyment, but an essential historical document that makes the canon of classical music a better and more inclusive place.” –Sonograma Magazine

“The music is charming and multi-faceted, and Clark’s performance is gorgeous—natural, clear, and nuanced, especially in its rhythmic pacing and lilt. This is an important contribution to the recorded literature.” –Piano Magazine
